Broken?

I had heard the other day that the Buttercross had been damaged. I went down there myself and couldn't see anything, but I think I was looking at the wrong side. (Excuse photo quality it was taken on my phone)

  1. That's a shame when such old things are damaged.

  2. I love that the Hampshire Chronicle take this opportunity to mention the damage caused by students 10 years ago. I doubt it was them again! Such a shame though, the Buttercross is so important.

  3. Yes I noticed the 'students from Southampton' comment! Its a wonder the cathedral is still standing with all the students in Winchester! :)

  4. It's certainly a wonder that there's any grass left in the cathedral grounds, as that's where they seem to spend all their time!

I would hate it if the Buttercross were to be seriously damaged, I loved it as soon as I saw it.
